Who are we?
Cofinimmo has been acquiring, developing and managing rental properties for almost 40 years. The company has a portfolio spread across Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Finland, Ireland, Italy and the United Kingdom. Responding to societal changes, Cofinimmo’s mission is to provide high-quality care, living, and working spaces to partner-tenants for their occupants to enjoy. ‘Caring, Living and Working – Together in Real Estate’ is the expression of this mission.
Our motivation
As part of the ESG policy adopted by the group for almost 15 years now, and which remains a priority, Cofinimmo has implemented several concrete actions to reduce its environmental impact. The ‘Environment’ part of our ESG commitment obviously addresses biodiversity and involves more particularly the sustainable management of water in our various assets, as well as a special attention to melliferous plants in the gardens which adorn the surroundings of our buildings. The partnership with Bee-O-Diversity and the installation of beehives on the rooftop of our head office are therefore a logical part of this strategy.
Our project
Install two beehives on the rooftop of our head office to help preserve biodiversity in the neighbourhood
Rearrange the garden area around the building to increase the variety of melliferous plants to improve biodiversity on our site and protect the survival of bees
Distribute the honey harvested through our beehives to our employees to raise awareness on the importance of biodiversity in our day-to-day life and create a concrete link with the actions put in place
