Who are we?
Descartes Development & Innovation is the information, promotion and networking structure of the Sustainable City Excellence Cluster at the heart of Cité Descartes, a rapidly developing innovation area. It also operates a fablab and an incubator.
Our motivation
Located in the Cité Descartes Sustainable City Excellence Pole, we are committed to respecting the balance between city and nature in our area, which is located at the gateway to Greater Paris, as biodiversity is an essential element of tomorrow’s cities.
Our project
Installation of 2 beehives as part of the BeeOmonitoring Discovery in 2021 on the Cité Descartes. The aim of this experiment was to ensure that we respect biodiversity on the site.
In 2022, a full BeeOmonitoring, with 2 hives, was launched in mid-April with one of our partners (EpaMarne).
