Create value with biodiversity as a solution!
BeeOmonitoring is a tool for monitoring the environment through the analysis of pollen collected by bees, which act as natural drones and bioindicators.
It is used by many players in different sectors: water producers and catchment protection, sustainable real estate and land use planning, food and drink, industrial sector (recycling, incinerators, biopharmaceuticals, production and transformation, quarries, etc.), smart cities, energy, committed companies, etc.
It is the only tool that allows the collection of qualitative and quantitative data on:
- the number and type of plant species present as well as their shortcomings and impact on the entire ecosystem;
- the type, concentration and impact of industrial and agricultural pollutants present
And this over large areas, at low cost and on a continuous basis
These measures then make it possible to act in a targeted manner, where appropriate, by collaborating or communicating with the local community, and to evaluate the impact of the measures taken, with scientifically quantified indicators.
Here are some examples of monitored pollutants: heavy metals, pesticides, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), nitrates, dioxins, furans, PCBs, perfluorinated compounds (PFAS), etc.
BeeOdiversity has more than 10 years of data and monitoring experience on hundreds of sites in different types of environments, which allows it to finely interpret the results and propose improvement measures with high added value.
BeeOmonitoring has won numerous awards recognising innovation and societal impact of this tool. It is the fruit of Bach Kim Nguyen’s PhD, which focused on the causes of the disappearance of bees.
