How we handle your data

This notice covers the details you send us through the contact form on this site. It does not yet cover our services, our recruitment, or the legacy pages still served from our previous website.

Who is responsible

BeeOdiversity SRL, Belgium, is the controller of the details you send. You can reach us at info@beeodiversity.com.

What we collect and why

The contact form asks for your name, your email address and your message, and optionally your company, your phone number and the sector you work in. We use them for one purpose: to answer you, and to follow up on that conversation if you want us to.

The lawful basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form, and our legitimate interest in replying to people who write to us. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to the address above.

Who else processes it

This website stores nothing. Your message is held in memory for the moment it takes to send. After that, we keep it in two places: the email itself, and our customer relationship system. We use Twilio SendGrid (United States) to deliver the email and Teamleader (Belgium) to manage the conversation that follows. SendGrid also keeps its own record of each delivery, including the subject line, which carries your name and, if you gave it, your company. Because SendGrid is established in the United States, your details are transferred outside the European Union: Twilio is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, and its data processing agreement includes the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep your message for as long as it takes to answer it and to handle whatever follows from it. If nothing comes of the conversation, we delete it. SendGrid deletes its delivery record after a limited period, set by its service rather than by us.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to our using it. Write to the address above and we will answer within one month. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority.
