BeeOdiversity is a societal entrepreneurship company whose mission is to advise, design and manage projects aimed at preserving and developing biodiversity and reducing pollution. It develops large-scale projects for companies, multinationals, cities, municipalities and other stakeholders (farmers, scientists, beekeepers, etc.) in Belgium and abroad.

  • Managing a stock of bee colonies (visiting, feeding, harvesting, health management).
  • Taking samples (after in-house training).
  • Maintain and prepare beekeeping equipment.
  • Managing the stock of beekeeping equipment.
  • Develop products related to beekeeping.
  • Leading group sessions on bees and beekeeping in our training centre or at our customers’ premises.
  • Assist in our breeding practice (create swarms, queens, AI). In-house training possible.
  • Beekeeper with recognised training and at least 2 years experience.
  • Languages: French. Knowledge of Dutch and English is an asset.
  • Ability to evolve within a start-up: flexibility, dynamism, creativity, initiative, autonomy, responsibility.
  • Ability to work in a team.

Environemental IT developer & data analyst

BeeOdiversity is a societal impact company that helps companies and public authorities create value through the regeneration of biodiversity. It is active in 10 countries in the EU and the USA with ambitions to develop in other continents. BeeOdiversity is recognised for its environmental impact and its innovative character (e.g. Solar Impulse, Ashoka, etc). One of its innovations consists of monitoring the environment via bees to change agriculture, protect resources, limit pollutants, develop the territory, etc. The team of about fifteen BeeOactors is made up of young and not so young people who are dynamic, passionate and concerned about the world of tomorrow!

BeeOdiversity has been actively developing for some years. The founders and the team are convinced that technology is necessary to achieve their goals in terms of environmental impact, especially with a view to involving all stakeholders. As a result, BeeOdiversity’s digital and technological activity is set to grow (e.g. BeeOdiversity was elected member of Microsoft’s AI for the Planet program). BeeOdiversity is therefore looking for a data analyst to accompany it in this strengthening / this digital transition.


BeeOdiversity has developed a set of tools to optimize its services. You will be responsible for the further development and improvement of these tools. This aspect of the role requires:

  • Excellent command of R (between 3 and 5 years demonstrable experience)
  • Good command line skills (Linux)
  • Good knowledge of Git
  • Notion of CSS, HTML, Markdown, YAML

Knowledge in the following areas is an asset: JavaScript, Ruby, Docker, SQL, REST API, Python, etc.

BeeOdiversity is also very active in technological innovation (AI, apps, software, hardware). Depending on your aspirations and skills, you will be asked to work actively on these innovations and products to be developed. In this context, knowledge of the Azure environment is a very important asset. Experience in artificial intelligence and/or product development is also an added value.

  • Excellent command of R (between 3 and 5 years demonstrable experience)

  • Good knowledge of Git
  • Notion of CSS, HTML, Markdown, YAML
  • Knowledge in the following areas is an asset: JavaScript, Ruby, Docker, SQL, REST API, Python, etc.
  • Language: English (mandatory) and French and/or Dutch

In order to develop products with a link to nature, close collaboration is necessary with the team’s bioengineers and users. It is essential to understand each other, to speak the same language. For this reason, knowledge of the environmental sector and/or expertise in environmental matters is required, either as part of a study (e.g. bioengineer, master’s degree in environment, etc.) or professional experience in close connection with nature.
