Head of Bioengineering Team

BeeOdiversity is a company with a societal impact that helps companies and public authorities to become leaders in biodiversity. This support is provided at strategic level (impact analysis, choice of indicators, strategic plan, standards, etc.) and/or operational level (on-site monitoring, in particular via biomonitoring solutions, biodiversity regeneration actions or reduction of agricultural and industrial pollutants). In the context of the development of its operational activities, BeeOdiversity is looking for a Head of Bioengineering Team and Terrestrial Biodiversity with more than 7 years’ experience.

Job description

This job description is meant to be co-created according to your passions and interests.

You will support our clients in their efforts to preserve/regenerate biodiversity, and more specifically to :

• Design and implement biodiversity strategies at customer sites (agriculture, infrastructure, property, towns, etc.)

• Advise, interpret and present results to clients

•  Help to improve on-site monitoring solutions, field actions and recommendations

•  Design mission offers with the Sales team

• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders.

•  Support sales and communication, R&D and strategic consultancy with biodiversity expertise.

• Develop internal knowledge and practices in order to advise on the direction to be given to BeeOdiversity’s solutions and expertise, R&D, training, etc.

Expertise / experience and other requirements

• Based in Belgium, France UK or neighbouring countries

• Essential criteria: minimum 7 years’ experience in the biodiversity sector i.e biodiversity consultancy; biodiversity manager in a company; biodiversity expert in an international institution or NGO.

• Agricultural engineer, bioengineer or equivalent diploma/expertise. Knowledge of terrestrial ecosystems, biodiversity erosion factors and the agricultural sector would be an asset.

• Proven ability to submit bids, lead projects and work as part of a team.

• Bilingual FR/EN

• In-depth knowledge of current environmental regulations

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
