BeeOdiversity is looking for a Dutch and English speaking project manager, bioengineer or equivalent, with 2 to 5 years of experience.
About us
BeeOdiversity is a company with a societal impact that supports companies and public authorities in creating value through the regeneration of biodiversity. This support is provided at a strategic level (impact analysis, choice of indicators, strategic plan, standards, etc.) and/or at an operational level (on-site monitoring, in particular via biomonitoring solutions, biodiversity regeneration actions or reduction of agricultural and industrial pollutants).
The founders and the team are convinced that technology, nature-based solutions, innovation and collaboration with all stakeholders (farmers, companies, associations, etc.) are necessary to achieve their environmental impact goals.
BeeOdiversity has been sclaing for several years. It is active in more than 15 countries in the EU, the USA and Africa, with ambitions to develop in other continents.
BeeOdiversity is recognised for its environmental impact and its innovative character (e.g. Solar Impulse, Ashoka, etc). The team of about twenty BeeOdiversity members is composed of dynamic, passionate people who are concerned about the world of tomorrow! The cooperative governance of the company aims to include each member in the life and development of the activities.
About the job
This job description will be co-created as we believe it is important that the job meets the passion and interests.
As a member of the BeeOsolution team, you will be required to support clients in their efforts to preserve/regenerate biodiversity and more specifically to :
- Managing biomonitoring, advisory and/or development projects aimed at preserving biodiversity and limiting industrial and agricultural pollutants. This management requires the coordination of internal (experts, admin, etc.) and external (clients, suppliers, beekeepers, etc.) stakeholders, the control of budgets, deadlines, etc., as well as a very good understanding of biodiversity issues
- Actively participate in biomonitoring projects by (i) analysing data related to terrestrial biodiversity (plant species, bees, etc.) and agricultural and industrial pollutants, (ii) writing reports and recommendations to improve biodiversity and reduce pollutants, (iii) participating in meetings to present results
- Support the team and provide expertise in on-site biodiversity regeneration and/or sustainable agriculture projects
- If your expertise allows, carry out sporadic site inventories
In addition to these core activities, you will be involved in other activities as far as possible, for example
- Actively participate in discussions on improving the organisation of the BeeOsolution team, its tools, etc.
- Possibly support the BeeOsales team in the presentation of BeeOdiversity activities with an expert hat
- Possibly support the R&D team in designing innovation projects

WHAT WE LOOK FOR
- English and Dutch minimum level C1 and French B1
- Competence in agronomy and ecology (bioengineer or equivalent) with expertise in the fields of biodiversity (ecosystem services, naturalist knowledge, regulations, etc.) and/or the agricultural sector (inputs, PPP, technical itineraries, etc.).
- 2 to 5 years experience in a function related to the preservation of biodiversity and/or sustainable agriculture (consultancy firm, consultancy office, NGO, etc) and/or a project management function.
- Based in Belgium
Optional expertise to be highlighted
- Team management
- Commercial, innovation, research
- Network among CSR managers, environmental managers
- eDNA or other biodiversity monitoring solutions
- Knowledge of Breeam, Leed or HQE certifications
- Knowledge of analytical chemistry
- Programming knowledge
- Knowledge of computer tools: office automation and geomatics (QGIS, ArcGIS)
- Knowledge of the scientific and associative network.
- Good writing skills
