A little bit of paradise for the pollinators living along the canal of Brussels and acting for a better environment.
Elia has been involved in the protection of the environment for many years, more specifically via its Life-project.
This involvement also took the form of a development in favour of pollinators on the Quai Léon Monnoyer site. The site also hosts an insect hotel and 2 bee colonies that enjoy browsing in a tiny pollen-rich paradise.
Elia also participated in the BeeOmonitoring project in Brussels. The colonies thus made it possible to monitor plant diversity and pollution in the area in order to collect valuable data submitted to the local authorities.
