Qui sommes-nous ? / Notre équipe
Julien Jeuniaux
BeeOschool and Beekeeping Manager
“The world hates change, yet it is the only thing that has allowed it to progress.”
His experience
After studying medicine at the Université Libre de Bruxelles and medical imaging at the Université catholique de Louvain (IPL), Julien worked in the medical field for a few years before making the choice to change his life. To become a beekeeper!
After training in beekeeping and specialising in queen rearing, he set up his own business (280 hives) specialising in the production of royal jelly. Trained in selection and artificial insemination of queen bees, Julien is also a trainer and lecturer approved by the Walloon region.
His role
Julien joined BeeOdiversity in 2020.
He is in charge of the coordination of BeeOdiversity’s beekeeping activity, its logistics and contact with stakeholders, including beekeeping associations. Julien is also the coordinator of our beekeeping training centre, the BeeOschool.
What motivates him?
His first motivation is to be able to generate real change. Having always been sensitive to the environmental cause, it is with great enthusiasm that he is involved on a daily basis in a structure whose objective is to preserve biodiversity.
